Thank you for registering for our youth workshop production of The Addams Family Musical Young@Part. We’re looking forward to sharing an enjoyable and beneficial experience.

The workshop style auditions will consist of the following:

-A group  ice-breaker/theatre game or two

-A vocal segment-

     - we will teach a short section of one of the songs from the show (When You're An Addams) to everyone.  You can listen to and practice the song below.  We'll rehearse several times as a group.  Then we'll give everyone  the choice of singing it by themselves or in a small group of 2 or 3. Although we'll practice with both the "Guide" and the "Instrumental Track", we'll ask everyone to sing with the "Instrumental Track" for their official audition.

(As an additional option, participants may choose to sing a prepared 16 bar selection of their choice and provide accompaniment by phone or sing Acappella.

Those interested in auditioning for a specific role, will also be asked to sing a selection as specified below. Again, the official audition will be with the "Instrumental Track".

Also, those enrollees interested auditioning for a principal (main) role in The Addams Family Musical Young@Part. may be asked to read from script selections, some of which are found here.   Printed copies of these scenes will be available at the audition.

Some light movement/dance exercises may also be facilitated.

Everyone who has received a confirmed registration and attends the audition session, will be included in the cast.  The audition helps us to create the most appropriate and beneficial means of participation for all involved..
